These starter terms describe the DormFinder account and listing process. They are not legal advice and should be reviewed by local counsel before production use.

Accurate information

Provide truthful account details and property information. You must be authorized to represent any property you submit and keep its availability, rent, occupancy, amenities, and rules accurate.

Student account activation

Student accounts become active after the registered email address is confirmed using the one-time verification link. Student accounts do not require student ID uploads or manual document review. Owners remain subject to the separate identity, permit, and listing review process.

Review and publication

Owner identity and property documents are reviewed by authorized administrators. Submission is not approval. A listing is published only after required verification, moderation approval, and any configured listing fee is confirmed.

Documents and privacy

Identity and permit files are collected for verification, stored privately, and available only to authorized administrators through protected access. Do not submit documents belonging to another person without authority.

Account safety

Keep your password confidential, use DormFinder lawfully, and promptly correct information that is inaccurate. Accounts or listings may be suspended or rejected for inaccurate, unsafe, or unauthorized content.

Service limitations

DormFinder facilitates discovery and communication; it does not guarantee property quality, owner conduct, availability, or the authenticity of submitted documents. In-site walking directions use community-mapped data and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Verify directions and property details before making decisions or payments.
